Application Description:

Maximize your word count to achieve victory! Squares is a daily word puzzle game blending strategy and wordplay. The objective is to complete squares on a grid to form words, scoring as many points as possible.

Gameplay:

Connect letters in any direction—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—to create words. Your aim is to uncover all words hidden within the letter grid.

Game Rules:

Scoring: Each letter in a valid word earns one point (e.g., a five-letter word scores five points).
Word Length: Words must contain at least four letters.
Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
Invalid Words: Hyphenated words, proper nouns, offensive language, and uncommon terms are excluded.

Bonus Words:

The puzzle includes obscure, archaic, or slang terms. These "bonus words" don't contribute to your score but appear in a separate list. You can continue searching for bonus words even after finding all the main words. Each puzzle also features a "Word of the Day"—a special, often longer bonus word—unlocking two extra hints upon successful identification.

Daily Challenge:

A new Squares puzzle is available daily at midnight.

Grid Rotation:

Stuck? Rotate the grid left or right using the buttons in the bottom right corner for a fresh perspective.

Letter Hints:

After finding 40% of the words, you'll receive a hint: a number next to each letter indicates how many words begin with that letter. A missing number means no words start with that particular letter. Letters turning orange signify they've been used in all main words but might still appear in bonus words.

Hint System:

Each puzzle offers 3 to 5 hints (lightbulb icons). Using a hint reveals the first letter of a random word and its search direction. The number of hints depends on puzzle difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends grants one extra hint! Good luck, and happy word hunting!
