Tencent приобретает контрольный пакет акций Kuro Games, стимулируя развитие Wuthering Waves

Расширение Tencent в игровой индустрии продолжается с приобретением 51% контрольного пакета акций Kuro Games, разработчика популярной ролевой игры Wuthering Waves. Это следует за более ранними слухами в марте, когда Tencent приобрела 37% акций Hero Entertainment и стала единственным внешним акционером.

Kuro Games заверила своих сотрудников, что ее операционная независимость останется неизменной, что отражает подход Tencent к таким студиям, как Riot Games и Supercell. Это гарантирует, что творческий контроль останется в первую очередь за командой разработчиков.

Сама игра Wuthering Waves переживает значительный импульс. В текущем обновлении 1.4 представлен новый режим Somnoire: Illusive Realms, два новых персонажа, оружие и улучшения. Игроки также могут использовать внутриигровые коды для получения дополнительных наград.

Предстоящее обновление версии 2.0 обещает еще больше: оно представит новую исследуемую нацию Ринасциту, а также персонажей Карлотту и Роччу. В частности, Wuthering Waves наконец-то выйдет на PlayStation 5, что сделает ее доступной на всех основных платформах.
