Дебютный трейлер для * Predator: Badlands * зажгли поклонник и любопытство, особенно в отношении дизайна нового хищника. Новый хищник, названный Дек и изображенный Димитриусом Шустером-Колоаматанги, выходит от традиции, взяв на себя роль главного героя. Описанный как проигравший Яуджа «Рант», персонаж Дека расходится от типичного изображения Яуджи в качестве антагонистов в предыдущих фильмах о хищниках.
