2XKO, представленная на EVO 2024, представляет уникальную систему Duo Play. В отличие от традиционных файтингов, где один игрок управляет обоими персонажами, 2XKO позволяет двум игрокам объединиться, каждый из которых управляет чемпионом. Это приводит к захватывающим матчам 2 на 2 или даже к схваткам 2 на 1, где один игрок управляет дуэтом. В каждой команде один игрок является персонажем «Точка», а другой — «Помощником».

Система тегов включает в себя три основных механики:

  • Действия помощника: Персонаж-точка может вызвать помощника для выполнения специальных приемов.
  • Тег рукопожатия: Указывающий и ассистент мгновенно меняются ролями.
  • Динамическое сохранение: Ассистент может прерывать комбо противника, чтобы сохранить точку.

Матчи в 2XKO обычно длиннее, чем в других файтингах. Чтобы завершить раунд, оба игрока должны быть нокаутированы, хотя побежденные чемпионы остаются активными в качестве помощников.

Стратегическая синергия: система предохранителей

Помимо настройки персонажа, 2XKO представляет «предохранители» — опции синергии, которые меняют стиль командной игры. В игровой демоверсии было пять предохранителей:

Выбор чемпиона

В игровой демоверсии были представлены шесть чемпионов League of Legends: Браум, Ари, Дариус, Экко, Ясуо и Иллаой, каждый из которых обладает уникальными наборами приемов, отражающими их игровые способности. Хотя Джинкс и Катарина были показаны ранее, они отсутствовали в игровом тесте Alpha Lab, но их включение подтверждено в будущем.
