Warzone Mobile Shuts Down: Call of Duty's Mobile Battle Royale Ends

Author:Kristen Update:May 29,2025

In a surprising turn of events, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is set to exit the stage sooner than expected. As of May 18th, the game has been removed from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For now, those who have already downloaded the game can still enjoy online access, but the real-money purchase option has been disabled. Additionally, Activision has announced that no further seasonal updates or new content will be released moving forward.

Even though matchmaking and online play will continue for the time being, social features have already been disabled, and there’s currently no set timeline for when full server shutdowns will occur. Monetization within the game remains active for existing users, but no new purchases can be made. Interestingly, players with leftover COD Points can redeem them in Call of Duty: Mobile. By logging into Call of Duty: Mobile with the same Activision account, users will receive double the value of their unused Warzone Mobile COD Points, along with additional rewards. This offer is available until August 15th.

For anyone who hasn’t installed or reinstalled Warzone Mobile by May 19th, this is the final opportunity. After this date, the game will become completely inaccessible, and no refunds will be issued. This abrupt decision marks the end of a high-profile mobile release that sought to deliver the full Warzone experience to mobile-first audiences. Despite the team’s pride in recreating the title for handheld devices, it seems that the game struggled to meet the expectations set by its PC and console counterparts.
