Originally launched in Japan on February 24, 2021, for iOS, Android, and PC, Umamusume: Pretty Derby offers a unique narrative where legendary racehorses are reincarnated as "horse girls" or "Umamusume." These characters, resembling high school girls but possessing the ears, tails, and athletic prowess of horses, train at Tokyo's Tracen Academy with dreams of becoming renowned racers and idols.

According to the game's Steam page, players can "scout featured trainees and supporters as you navigate the immersive sports life simulation through the game’s in-depth training system and top-of-the-line 3D graphics!" With a gacha system, players can choose from over 20 Uma Musumes to scout, train, and compete in races, showcasing stunning performances.
