TikTok Resumes U.S. Operations Post January 18 Ban

UPDATE (1/19/25) - After a brief period of being unavailable, TikTok has resumed operations in the United States.

In a statement shared on X/Twitter, TikTok announced, "In agreement with our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring service. We express our gratitude to President Trump for providing the necessary clarity and assurance to our service providers that they will face no penalties for continuing to offer TikTok to over 170 million Americans and supporting more than 7 million small businesses to thrive.

"This decision underscores a commitment to the First Amendment and opposes arbitrary censorship. We are committed to collaborating with President Trump to develop a long-term solution that ensures TikTok remains accessible in the United States."
