Recent activity on LinkedIn from Tekken's director, Katsuhiro Harada, has sparked rumors about his potential departure from Bandai Namco, where he has spent 30 years and helped build the iconic Tekken series. The speculation began when Japanese video game news account Genki_JPN shared a screenshot on X (formerly Twitter) of Harada's LinkedIn profile, which indicated he was seeking new opportunities and was #OpenToWork. Harada's profile picture even featured the #OpenToWork frame, and he expressed interest in roles such as Executive Producer, Game Director, Business Development, Vice President, or Marketing positions, all to be based in Tokyo. This news has understandably caused concern among fans, many of whom have reached out to Harada on social media for clarification.

However, Harada, known for his active engagement on social platforms, quickly addressed the rumors. He clarified that he is not planning to leave Bandai Namco but is instead looking to expand his professional network. In response to a fan's query on the matter, Harada stated, "I meet a lot of people on a regular basis (but I don't actually have that many friends in my private world LOL), I just want to meet more people and expand my horizons in the future." He emphasized that using LinkedIn's #OpenToWork feature is simply a way for him to connect with more individuals in the industry.

This clarification should reassure Tekken enthusiasts, who may now look forward to the continued development and potential expansion of the franchise. Recent collaborations, such as the integration of Final Fantasy 16's protagonist Clive Rosfield as a fighter in Tekken 8, along with skins and accessories featuring other FF16 characters like Jill, Joshua, and even Nektar the Moogle, hint at exciting possibilities. Harada's efforts to broaden his network are likely to inject fresh ideas and collaborations into the beloved series, ensuring its continued growth and innovation.
