Star Trek: Vulcan Horror VR in Deep Space Nine Setting

A new VR Star Trek game is in development, billed as the franchise's “first narrative survival” experience.

The debut trailer for Star Trek: Infection, from Polish studio Broken Mirror Games and publisher Bloober Team (creators of The Medium and the Silent Hill 2 remake), reveals the upcoming title.

Fans will spot Deep Space Nine touches throughout, including the Alpha Quadrant setting, a Defiant-class vessel, and classic uniform designs, though no familiar faces are shown in the trailer.

Perhaps a cameo from a certain Ferengi bartender is still in the cards.

Gameplay footage features familiar VR action with a monstrous twist, hinting at a Vulcan protagonist who can perform mind melds and nerve pinches—plus wield disturbing new infected abilities.

Star Trek: Infection is scheduled to launch for Meta and PC VR headsets in late 2025.
