Can You Get the Staff of Ice from the Mystery Box on The Tomb?

While the Staff of Ice, like its Black Ops II counterpart, requires three parts, you can get lucky and find it in The Tomb's Mystery Box. However, this relies entirely on chance. Using the "Wunderbar!" GobbleGum improves your odds, but it's not a guarantee, as the Ray Gun is also a possibility. Building the Staff is a more reliable method.

Obtaining the Staff of Ice Monocle

The Monocle is the easiest piece to acquire. It drops from the first Shock Mimic you eliminate in a match. Simply interact with it to add it to your inventory.

Obtaining the Staff of Ice Head Piece

The Head Piece and Staff require similar puzzle-solving and survival elements. They can be obtained in any order.

To get the Head Piece, locate the cave painting in the Neolithic Catacombs. If the wall isn't illuminated, use the Dark Aether lanterns to light the area near the painting. Shoot the illuminated Roman numerals in ascending order (I to X). Completing this correctly triggers a lockdown. Survive the lockdown to claim the Head Piece. If lanterns aren't spawned, visit the Dark Aether Nexus and return; further round progression may also be necessary.

Obtaining the Staff of Ice Staff Piece

For the Staff piece, go to the Tombs room. Illuminate the Bull Mural by strategically lighting the lanterns near it. Shoot the Roman numerals (I to VIII) in ascending order. Survive the subsequent lockdown to obtain the Staff piece.

Completing the Staff of Ice

Once you have all three pieces, go to the Dark Aether Nexus (accessing the Door to Nowhere if needed). Place the pieces on the central structure. Defend the Staff from the ensuing zombie onslaught until it's assembled. Using perks and GobbleGums like Kill Joy and Free Fire is highly recommended.
