The full 1.0 version of Bloomtown: A Different Story has arrived on mobile. This social, narrative-driven JRPG features turn-based combat and monster taming. Its visual identity is classic JRPG pixel art, layered over a deceptively idyllic 1960s Americana setting.

With a slice-of-life exploration

The game’s atmosphere masterfully blends wholesome, small-town charm with a growing sense of creeping dread. Set in the early 1960s, the narrative centers on Emily and her little brother, Chester.

They travel to Bloomtown for what promises to be a peaceful summer at their grandfather's home. Yet, the town's tranquil facade quickly shatters. Local children start mysteriously vanishing, and nightmarish visions become disturbingly real.

On the surface, Bloomtown appears straight from a picture-perfect postcard, complete with a cinema, grocery stores, parks, and a library. However, this charming backdrop conceals a terrifying alternate reality.

Beneath the town lies a demon-haunted realm called the Underside, where the fears and vices of the residents manifest as grotesque physical monsters. The whole setup delivers a potent Stranger Things vibe!

What’s the combat like in Bloomtown: A Different Story?

Battles utilize a turn-based tactical system emphasizing team synergy. You'll clash with massive dungeon bosses and chaotic hordes of creatures from the Underside.

During combat, you can summon inner demons and even capture weakened enemies. These captured foes then join your roster. A deep fusion system allows you to experiment with diverse synergies and craft your own unique team builds.

Between dungeon delves and eerie investigations, Emily can enjoy a fairly normal summer life. She can train at the local gym, earn cash working shifts at the grocery store, build friendships, or simply relax in a garden.
