Exciting news for *Pokemon Home* enthusiasts: with the update to version 3.2.2, you now have the chance to snag Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan! However, these legendary creatures aren't just handed to you; you'll have to roll up your sleeves and complete some tasks. The journey might be tough, but trust us, securing a Shiny Keldeo is a big deal. This Legendary Pokemon was previously Shiny-locked and unobtainable through legitimate means. Now, with *Pokemon Home*, you can not only add Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan to your collection but also transfer them to your other *Pokemon* games linked to your *Home* account.
To get your hands on Shiny Keldeo in *Pokemon Home*, you'll need to conquer the Galar Pokedex. This means filling it up with Pokemon from *Sword & Shield*, as well as those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs, each with their own Pokedexes. Once you've completed these Pokedexes, head to the main menu, click on the three-line menu icon, and select "Mystery Gift" to claim your Shiny Keldeo.
Remember, only Pokemon with the Galar origin mark—a slanted PokeBall logo above their stat screen—will register in these Pokedexes. This means they must have come from the *Sword & Shield* base game or its DLCs. Completing the Pokedexes in *Sword & Shield* alone won't cut it if the Pokemon don't have the correct origin mark.
Don't rush; there's no deadline for claiming Shiny Keldeo, so take your time to complete the Pokedex.
Similarly, to secure Shiny Meltan, you must complete the Kanto Pokedex in *Pokemon Home* using Pokemon from *Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee*. These Pokemon need to have the Let's Go marker—a Pikachu silhouette above their stat screen—to count towards your Pokedex completion.
Once your Kanto Pokedex is complete, navigate to the Mystery Gift option in the main menu to claim your Shiny Meltan. Like with Keldeo, there's no rush; take as long as you need to complete the Pokedex.
If you're facing issues with your Pokedex not registering Pokemon in *Pokemon Home*, it might be due to a common data glitch, especially on mobile devices. The solution is simple: clear your app's cache. Here’s how to do it:
After clearing the cache, your Pokedex should start registering Pokemon correctly.
Now that you're equipped with the knowledge to obtain Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan in *Pokemon Home*, why not explore more *Pokemon* adventures? Check out the best counters to defeat Mega Tyranitar in *Pokemon GO*, or grab some extra perks with the latest *Pokemon GO* promo codes.
