Pokémon GO Adventure Week 2024: Epic Encounters and Mega Rewards Await!

The much-anticipated Adventure Week event returns to Pokémon GO in 2024, bringing a host of exciting in-game rewards and activities. Following the thrilling events of July, players are in for a treat this August.

What’s In Store?

Adventure Week kicks off on Friday, August 2nd at 10 am and continues until Monday, August 12th. This year's focus is on Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon, giving you ample opportunities to encounter these ancient and sturdy creatures in the wild. You can also hatch them from 7 km Eggs and meet them through themed Field Research tasks.

A major highlight of this year's event is the increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, including the popular Aerodactyl. Other Rock-type Pokémon like Diglett and Bunnelby will also be more common in the wild. Keep your eyes peeled—you might just encounter an Aerodactyl on your adventures.

The 7 km Eggs are particularly exciting, as they could hatch into Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, or Amaura. Themed Field Research tasks not only offer encounters with these Pokémon but also rewards such as Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.

Spinning PokéStops during Adventure Week will double your XP, with a staggering five times XP for the first spin of the day. If you enjoy hatching Pokémon, you'll be thrilled to earn double XP for that as well.

What Else Is New?

Adventure Week introduces new PokéStop Showcases and Collection Challenges, offering rewards like Stardust, encounters, and additional Mega Energy for Aerodactyl. The event also features five-star raids with Moltres, Thundurus Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas.

Additionally, Poplio will take center stage as August's Community Day Pokémon. There’s also a Classic Community Day and a special event for the Pokémon World Championship. Make sure you’re ready for an action-packed week and download the game from the Google Play Store.
