Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Retro Nintendo Console Theme

Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic has planned a nostalgic extravaganza starting May 1st, 2025. This event promises to bring back the charm of classic Nintendo gadgets, offering players a delightful throwback to the golden days of Nintendo.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has introduced a variety of fun decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is bringing back the classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s. Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These cards are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.

The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving players a full month to engage in event missions and collect unique Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward players with random items like Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, which, when smashed, yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

In May, players can look forward to blooming big flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them. A nectar update will also be implemented, ensuring that fruit from mushrooms during May will produce nectar for both regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

The anniversary celebration includes other exciting activities like Community Day. To join in the festivities, download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary event.
