ORNA MMORPG Embraces Eco-Consciousness with 'Terra's Legacy'

Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is hosting Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event tackling real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players will combat pollution-themed enemies and contribute to real-world cleanup efforts.

Fighting Pollution, Virtually and in Reality

Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world environmental action. Players identify polluted locations in their surroundings via the Orna app. These locations are then transformed into in-game "Gloomsites" by Northern Forge.

Gloomsites are inhabited by the Murk, representing pollution. Defeating the Murk raises awareness of environmental issues. Players can then plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples in these same polluted areas, both contributing to a cleaner in-game world and inspiring real-world action. These Gaia apples offer character customization and magical boosts within the game, and can be harvested by other players. Increased player participation leads to a cleaner game world and a greater positive impact offline.
