Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon Announced as Sequel to Oceanhorn 2

FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have exciting news for fans of the Oceanhorn series: a new game titled Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is on the horizon. Set 200 years after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, this game promises a fresh take on the beloved series. Scheduled for release in Q2 2025, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon will be available on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam.

What’s the Story in New Game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?

Forget about sailing the seas; this time, you'll be exploring the depths of a perilous underground labyrinth. Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon introduces a dungeon crawler experience with a nostalgic retro vibe. The world of Gaia is in disarray, with the once-mighty Kingdom of Arcadia now reduced to scattered islands and the legendary White City a distant memory.

However, hope persists as four brave adventurers set their sights on the mysterious Chronos Dungeon. This underground complex is rumored to house the Paradigm Hourglass, an artifact capable of altering history itself. If these heroes can navigate the dangers within, they might just restore the world to its former glory.

The developers have released an announcement trailer for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, which you can view right here.

What About the Features?

Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon embraces a classic dungeon crawler format with a distinct 16-bit arcade aesthetic. Designed for couch co-op, the game supports up to four players teaming up for side-by-side action. If you're playing solo, you can control all four heroes or switch between them as needed, ensuring a dynamic gameplay experience.

Each playthrough is unique, as the heroes' starting stats are influenced by their zodiac signs. The four playable characters include the Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage, each bringing their own flair to the adventure. The game's nostalgic appeal is further enhanced by its pixel art visuals and a chiptune-inspired soundtrack, alongside various old-school arcade features.
