Exciting news for fans of The Elder Scrolls series: a long-rumored relaunch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been brought into the spotlight thanks to a leak on developer Virtuos' website. The leak, which has spread rapidly across forums like ResetEra and Reddit, includes screenshots and images that showcase The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. These images highlight significant enhancements in models, details, and overall visual fidelity, promising a rejuvenated experience for players.

The leak was first brought to public attention by Wario64 on Twitter, who shared images found on Virtuos' website. Since the leak, Virtuos has taken swift action to restrict access to their site, with most pages now inaccessible except for the main landing page. However, the internet has already been flooded with the leaked content, making it impossible to contain.

According to VGC, the remastered game, officially titled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, is being developed collaboratively by Virtuos and Bethesda's studios in Dallas and Rockville. Virtuos, known for their work on various remasters including The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, brings their expertise to this project.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S (with availability on Game Pass), and PlayStation 5. A Deluxe Edition is also rumored to be in the works, offering additional bonuses such as weapons and horse armor—a playful nod to the infamous 2006 DLC.

Rumors of this remaster have been circulating since leaked documents from the Microsoft-FTC trial in 2023, with recent reports suggesting a possible shadow-drop as early as this month. Although no official statement or reveal has been made yet, the evidence points strongly towards an imminent release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
