Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders Begin April 9

Nintendo has officially announced that preorders for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 will commence on April 9 in the United States and April 8 in the UK. The console will be available to purchase starting June 5, 2025, and is priced at $449.99. This next-generation gaming system promises to enhance the gaming experience both at home and on the go.

Additionally, a special Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle will be available for $499.99 in the US, including the console and a download code for the Mario Kart World game, available from the launch day. For those interested in purchasing Mario Kart World separately, it will be available at a suggested retail price of $79.99.

You can register your interest for preorders of the Nintendo Switch 2 and its accessories at the My Nintendo Store. Nintendo will send invitations to purchase via email on a first-come, first-served basis, giving priority to users with a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and at least 50 gameplay hours logged by April 2, 2025. After priority users, remaining eligible registrants will be considered. Invitations are non-transferable and valid for 72 hours. Each account is limited to purchasing one system and one of each accessory. All major retailers are also expected to open preorders on April 9, 2025.
