Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has announced an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles slated to join the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a mix of first- and third-party games such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more.

According to a recent Xbox Wire post, the month kicks off strong with Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) available for all tiers starting April 3. Joining the fray on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial wave promises to keep Xbox fans engaged throughout the month. However, the excitement doesn't stop there, as South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) are set to hit Game Pass for all subscribers on April 8.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games and set in the Deep South, is anticipated to be one of Xbox's major releases of the year. Microsoft’s official description highlights the game's unique setting and gameplay: "Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown."

Following closely, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) will be available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on April 9, with Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) joining on April 10 for the same tiers. Rounding out the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be added for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on April 15.

In addition to new games, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves players.
