Konosuba: Fantastic Days to Shut Down, Offline Version Possible

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the beloved RPG developed by Sesisoft, is set to conclude its service on January 30th, 2025. After nearly five years of operation, both the global and Japanese servers will be shut down on the same day. Despite the closure, there's a glimmer of hope for fans as the developers have hinted at the development of a limited offline version. This version would preserve the main storyline, major quests, and events, allowing players to relive their favorite moments. However, details are scarce, and it remains uncertain whether this offline version will come to fruition.

What About the Store and Refunds?

The developers are handling the shutdown with grace. Official channels will cease operations on February 28th, 2025, and in-app purchases have been disabled since October 31st, 2024. Players can continue to use their Quartz and other in-game items until the service ends. If you're eligible for refunds on unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases made in early 2024, you have until January 30th, 2025, to apply.

Ever Played KonoSuba: Fantastic Days?

Launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the popular KonoSuba series. Set in a world threatened by the Devil King's army, the game captivated players with its charming storytelling and impressive visuals, complemented by a visual novel-style story mode.

Like many gacha RPGs, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days is facing the common fate of closure. This year alone has seen numerous anime games shut down, with some struggling to retain player interest and others unable to sustain the high costs associated with production.

With only a few months left before KonoSuba: Fantastic Days shuts down, there's still time to experience it if you haven't yet. You can find it on the Google Play Store.
