The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to launch with varying prices across different regions, specifically tailored for the Japanese market and the rest of the world. If you're excited about this next-generation console, you'll want to pay close attention to the pricing details for the different versions.

Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 will come in two distinct versions: a Japanese-language system, available exclusively in Japan, and a Multi-Language System designed for a global audience. The Japanese version is expected to be priced around $330, while the Multi-Language System will be priced at $449.99, marking a significant over $100 price difference. This pricing strategy reflects the impact of the weaker yen against the USD, which affects purchasing power for tourists in Japan.

For those living in Japan, the option to purchase the Multi-Language System remains open. However, the Japanese-language version will only be available for purchase within Japan and is restricted to Nintendo Accounts set to the Japanese region. This version supports only the Japanese language and is limited to software available on the Japanese Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo advises fans who prefer using the Switch 2 in languages other than Japanese to opt for the Multi-Language System version. Further details about this version will be disclosed on April 4.
