GOG relaunches Dino Crisis 1 & 2 on PC

The beloved Dino Crisis survival horror series makes its triumphant return through DRM-free re-releases on GOG.com. Both PlayStation-era classics arrive fully preserved with modern compatibility upgrades.

Cult Survival Horror Classics Reborn

Originally debuting on PlayStation in 1999 followed by its sequel in 2000, these Capcom-developed terror adventures pit players against prehistoric predators through tense survival gameplay.

While rumors occasionally surfaced about potential remakes or sequels, Capcom's focus shifted elsewhere - most notably with 2022's dinosaur-themed Exoprimal. Series creator Shinji Mikami further confirmed these hopes were unlikely given Capcom's current direction.

"These GOG releases solve longtime accessibility issues," stated preservationists. "Previously obscure PC ports required significant troubleshooting to run properly on modern systems."

Alongside these releases, GOG unveiled its Dreamlist initiative - allowing players to vote for forgotten classics they'd like to see preserved through the platform.
