Fortnite x Monsterverse: Boss Fights, Mechagodzilla, and Kong Revealed

The highly anticipated Godzilla skin will be available in Fortnite starting January 17, and all the details of the partnership with Monsterverse have now leaked online. Epic Games has already rolled out an update containing this new content, which has been eagerly dissected by dataminers. In addition to the regular Godzilla skin available through the battle pass, players can also acquire skins of Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. These will come as part of a set that also includes unique jet packs and custom pickaxes tailored for each character.

On January 17, Fortnite will also introduce a thrilling new boss event. One player on the map will have the chance to transform into an oversized Godzilla, wielding its iconic atomic breath ability. Teams will need to strategize and work together to take down this formidable foe. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla throughout the battle will be rewarded with a special medallion that grants a unique ability.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the standard release time with the following pricing:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1,800 V-bucks
  • Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks

Fortnite is known for hosting a diverse array of performers and artists, and it seems that fans might soon have the opportunity to encounter the popular vocaloid Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between the Hatsune Miku account and the Fortnite Festival account have hinted at this possibility. The Hatsune Miku account mentioned a missing backpack, to which the Fortnite Festival account responded affirmatively, suggesting they have it. Along with the basic Vocaloid skin, there will be a stylized pickaxe and a variant of the "Miku the Catgirl" skin, as well as a virtual Hatsune Miku concert to look forward to.
