Valheim's Wandering Merchants: Locations and Inventory Guide

Valheim's challenging world rewards exploration, but finding the game's three merchants can be tricky. This guide details their locations and the unique goods they offer, making your Viking adventure a little easier.

Finding Valheim's Traders: Merchant locations are procedurally generated, meaning their positions vary across each world. While exploration is key, utilizing the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) can significantly speed up the search.

Haldor: The Black Forest Merchant

Haldor, found in the Black Forest, is often the easiest merchant to locate due to his proximity to the world center (within a 1500m radius). He's frequently near Elder spawn points, identifiable by glowing ruins in Burial Chambers. Once found, Haldor remains in the same location. Building a portal nearby is highly recommended. He trades for gold, readily obtained from dungeon exploration and selling gems.

Hildir: The Meadows Merchant

Hildir resides in the Meadows, typically further from the world center (3000-5100m radius). The World Generator is the quickest way to find her, but a dedicated search, looking within the specified radius, is also possible (spawn points are roughly 1000m apart). A T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're within 300-400m. Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and unique quests. Completing these quests, which involve finding her lost chests in various biomes, unlocks additional inventory items.
