Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, dubbed Sandlord, has arrived with a bang, marking the game's most expansive season to date. Now live, this season introduces a plethora of new features that shake up the traditional gameplay, challenging you to construct your very own floating empire in the sky.
The centerpiece of the season is the Cloud Oasis, a city you'll oversee and develop. By venturing into the Netherrealm to gather resources, you can then allocate these to workers across five distinct professions, unlocking a range of new trade routes, bonuses, and seasonal rewards. This innovative blend of ARPG combat and strategic simulation adds a fresh layer of depth to the gameplay experience.
Thea, previously known as a divine channeler, has undergone a dark transformation into the Blasphemer. Instead of bestowing blessings, she now spreads desecration, inflicting Erosion Damage that intensifies over time.
The Deep Space region has also received a significant overhaul, featuring five new stages brimming with monsters and survival challenges. Additionally, a new item called Probes has been introduced. Functioning similarly to Compasses, Probes occupy their own slot and simultaneously boost your rewards and the difficulty level.
The endgame is getting an exciting update with the introduction of new Legendary Stages. These rare encounters offer unique loot setups that can dramatically alter your approach to the game. For instance, the Abyssal Vault deviates from the norm by being devoid of enemies, instead filled with Mystery Chests ripe for the taking.
In contrast, the Sea of Rites is teeming with non-aggressive goblins. Eliminating them can potentially summon a secret boss, adding an element of surprise and strategy to your exploration.
The Supreme Showdown introduces the Golden Gaze mechanic, available to both you and the bosses. A well-timed hit using this mechanic can transform enemies into instant treasure, offering a thrilling twist to combat encounters.
As Torchlight: Infinite celebrates its second anniversary, you can now download the game from the Google Play Store and immerse yourself in the latest season's adventures.
