Unlocking the Ability to Camp

The ability to craft Camping Sets is unlocked through Simple Synthesis after completing the manabound Dux Lighthouse—the first manabound area Yumia explores during the story. Once the base is established, return to the Ligneus Survey Base and speak with Erhard to activate the camping feature.

Crafting a Camping Set

To create a Camping Set, gather the following materials:

• 5% Energy
• 3 Wood
• 2 Water
• 5 Fiber
• 2 Charcoal

These resources are easily obtainable near the Ligneus Survey Base. Water can be sourced from wells scattered across the region or collected by gathering plants along riverbanks (which also yields fiber). Charcoal is a byproduct of mining ore.

With your materials ready, open the Simple Synthesis menu and ensure you have a 4×4 space available. Failing to do so will send your Camping Set to storage at your Atelier or one of your bases.

Where to Camp in Atelier Yumia

A Camping Set enables you to pitch camp wherever there’s enough open ground—steer clear of narrow cliffs or dense forests. There are numerous suitable spots, such as the River Campsite close to the Ligneus Survey Base. These locations double as viable camping areas.

To confirm if you can camp in a particular spot, check the radial menu while carrying a Camping Set in your Exploration Bag. If the Camping option in the bottom-right corner is highlighted, you’re good to go. Otherwise, move to a different location.

What to Do While Camping in Atelier Yumia

Camping serves as the sole opportunity to prepare meals from ingredients gathered during exploration. It’s crucial to find a safe haven before tackling a boss or venturing into a manabound area, particularly on higher difficulty settings.

Additionally, your companions will share unique dialogue—while not essential to the storyline, these interactions deepen your connection with them.
