Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in *The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim*, *Fallout 3*, *Starfield*, and many more, recently shared an emotional update following a harrowing health scare. Johnson was found "barely alive" in his hotel room last week, an incident that led to him being placed in a coma. A video posted on a GoFundMe page, which has raised over $174,653 to help cover his medical expenses and bills, captured Johnson expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support he received.

"I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you," Johnson stated in the video. He was in Atlanta to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation when he became unresponsive. After missing the event, his wife Kim Johnson called the hotel, leading to security and emergency medical technicians discovering him in critical condition.

Johnson's recovery story is one of resilience and community support. "Rumors of my demise, well they weren't exaggerated. It was very close, very close. But I'm still here," he shared, crediting his wife and son for their quick actions that saved his life. He spent five days in a coma before learning about the GoFundMe campaign organized by his friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, along with his wife Kim.

Johnson extended his thanks to various supporters, including the National Alzheimer's Association for flying his family to Atlanta, the chairman of the Washington Capitals parent company Ted Leonsis for a generous $25,000 donation, and Bethesda for their public show of support. "You say that I'm your friend. I am. Always will be. Love you guys," he said, acknowledging the gaming community's role in his recovery.

He also expressed his appreciation to fans, both those who donated and those who offered other forms of support. "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere," Johnson assured, promising a return despite the long road to recovery ahead. "It's going to be a while as I work my way back, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and having you all hear me then. Cheers."

Johnson's career spans numerous film and television roles, but his video game work, predominantly with Bethesda, stands out. He most recently voiced Ron Hope in *Starfield*, and has portrayed iconic characters such as Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in *The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion*, three Daedric Princes in *The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind*, Fawkes and Maister Burke in *Fallout 3*, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in *Skyrim*, and Moe Cronin in *Fallout 4*, among others.
