Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

Author:Kristen Update:May 15,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the brink of officially unveiling their much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The excitement is palpable as Bethesda has scheduled an announcement for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, which will be livestreamed on both YouTube and Twitch.

While the announcement's content remains officially under wraps, the teaser image shared by Bethesda on Twitter/X today leaves little to the imagination. Dominating the center of the image is a prominent "IV," and the background bears a striking resemblance to iconic art from the original Oblivion, strongly hinting at what's to come.

The journey to this point has been filled with speculation and leaks. The first whispers of an Oblivion remake surfaced in 2020, when a leaked Bethesda release schedule from the FTC vs. Microsoft trial mentioned an Oblivion remaster slated for fiscal year 2022. Although that window has long passed, suggesting the project might have been shelved, fresh leaks in January this year painted a different picture. These leaks indicated that Bethesda, with the help of support studio Virtuos, was actively working on a full-scale remake. The rumors gained further credibility just last week when additional leaks from Virtuos' website emerged, showcasing images of the remake in progress.

If these recent leaks hold true, fans can look forward to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered launching on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. The release is expected to offer both a standard version and a Deluxe Edition, which will include the iconic horse armor.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be a thrilling confirmation and to learn more details about this long-awaited remake.
