Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 26,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the cusp of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The excitement is palpable as Bethesda has scheduled an announcement for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, to be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

The official Bethesda Twitter/X account dropped a teaser today, featuring a prominent "IV" and a background strikingly similar to iconic Oblivion artwork, leaving little room for doubt about the subject of tomorrow's big reveal.

Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rife for what feels like an eternity. The initial whispers of its development surfaced back in 2020, thanks to a leaked Bethesda release schedule from the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which hinted at an Oblivion remaster slated for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline had passed, making it seem like a potentially abandoned project, the rumors gained new life earlier this year with another leak. This time, it was suggested that Bethesda, in collaboration with Virtuos, was working on a comprehensive remake rather than just a remaster. The buzz reached a fever pitch just last week when leaks from Virtuos' website emerged, showcasing the remake in action and all but confirming the project's existence.

Should these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is poised to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Fans can also look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which will include the infamous horse armor alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow to witness what promises to be the official confirmation of this long-awaited project, along with further details that are sure to excite fans of the beloved RPG series.
