Bam Margera Joins THPS 3+4 Following Tony Hawk's Insistence

Bam Margera has been confirmed to be included in the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, despite not being initially listed among the returning skaters. Skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley revealed this news during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

According to Bagley, the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk himself reached out to Activision to request Margera's inclusion. Initially told it was not possible, Hawk's persistence paid off, leading to Margera's eventual addition to the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.

Margera, known for his professional skateboarding career and his role in the Jackass franchise, has faced significant personal challenges, including struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, and multiple rehab stints. He was also fired from Jackass Forever and faced a restraining order from director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats.

Recent videos of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together sparked speculation about Margera's return to the game. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, across PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game, developed by Iron Galaxy, managed to overcome initial cancellation threats following Activision's merger of Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
