Introducing Alexa+, the latest evolution of Amazon's renowned voice assistant, now enhanced with generative AI. This upgrade promises a more natural and engaging conversational experience. According to Amazon, "Alexa+ is more conversational, smarter, personalized – and she helps you get things done." Currently in Early Access, Alexa+ is exclusively available on select Echo Show devices, including the Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21. If you own one of these devices or are considering purchasing one, you can sign up for notifications to be among the first to experience Alexa+. After the Early Access phase, Alexa+ will be accessible as a free benefit for Amazon Prime members, or for a monthly fee of $19.99 for non-Prime users.

With its conversational approach, Alexa+ enables you to ask any question that comes to mind, making it easier to manage tasks such as completing your to-do list, retrieving specific calendar details, or booking a restaurant. Amazon's Alexa+ Early Access page highlights that "new features are being added regularly," suggesting that more enhancements and capabilities will be unveiled following the Early Access period.

It's important to note that not all devices are compatible with Alexa+. Amazon has specified that certain older models, including the Echo Dot 1st Gen, Echo 1st Gen, Echo Plus 1st Gen, Amazon Tap, Echo Show 1st Gen, Echo Show 2nd Gen, and Echo Spot 1st Gen, will continue to operate with the original Alexa. However, Amazon plans to expand Alexa+ compatibility to more devices in the future, including Fire TV, Fire tablets, and Alexa.com.
