2025 Eisner Awards: Nominees Include Batman, Spider-Man

The 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards nominations have been unveiled, highlighting the cream of the crop from the previous year. Often referred to as the Oscars of the comic book world, the Eisners celebrate excellence and innovation across various categories. Fantagraphics and DC Comics lead the pack with Fantagraphics securing 24 nominations (plus one shared), while DC boasts 10 nominations (plus nine shared). Notably, Tom King leads the creator count with four nominations, followed by several creators who earned three nods each.

Former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito also makes an appearance among the nominees alongside co-creator Sean Von Gorman. Their series The Pedestrian earned a spot in the Best New Series category, competing against heavyweights like Absolute Batman and The Power Fantasy.

The winners will be announced at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25 during a ceremony at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel. Below is the complete list of nominees:
