La star de Marvel Benedict Cumberbatch dit que le docteur Strange saute Avengers Doomsday mais est une partie «centrale» des guerres secrètes

Benedict Cumberbatch révèle le rôle central du docteur Strange dans les futurs versements MCU. Tout en sautant Avengers: Doomsday , le Sorcerer Supreme sera "assez central" de la suite, Avengers: Secret Wars , selon l'interview de Cumberbatch avec Variety. Il a même laissé glisser un spoiler potentiel avant de s'exclamer de manière ludique, "f \ \ \ * it!"

Cumberbatch a en outre fait allusion à un troisième film de Doctor Strange autonome, exprimant l'ouverture de Marvel à l'exploration de l'histoire de la bande dessinée riche du personnage. Il a souligné la complexité du personnage et le potentiel de développement ultérieur, déclarant: "C'est un personnage très riche à jouer. Il est un humain complexe, contradictoire et troublé qui a ces capacités extraordinaires, donc il y a des choses puissantes avec lesquelles jouer."

En ce qui concerne son absence de Avengers: Doomsday , Cumberbatch a expliqué que l'arc du personnage ne s'alignait tout simplement pas sur ce scénario particulier.
