Curt Pires, célébré pour des œuvres comme Youth et Lost Falls , revient à Image Comics with Lost Fantasy , une nouvelle série de bandes dessinées fortement inspirée par des JRPG classiques tels que Final Fantasy VII . La série réunit des pires avec l'artiste money Luca Casalanguida et se vante de la couverture de Casalanguida, Alex Diotto, Darick Robertson et Jae Lee. Il présente également une histoire de sauvegarde sérialisée, Indigo Children: Exodus , une continuation de la série de science-fiction des Pires.

Image Comics fournit ce synopsis: Lost Fantasy dévoile un monde magique caché sous le nôtre, où le premier contact, déclenché par une catastrophe naturelle centenaire, a fracturé la barrière entre les royaumes, libérant des monstres. Les grands chasseurs, Elite Monster Slayers, collaborent avec les dirigeants mondiaux pour protéger notre monde. Cependant, un récent massacre dans le Montana signale un changement significatif, menaçant les deux mondes. Le chasseur recrue monstre Henry Blackheart doit affronter cette nouvelle menace.

Pires déclare: "Je suis ravi d'être de retour à l'image avec Fantasy perdu , mélangeant mon amour pour les bandes dessinées occidentales comme à l'est de l'Ouest et quelque chose tue les enfants avec la construction du monde immersive et l'action des JRPGS J'adore. " Il cite l'influence de Final Fantasy , en particulier les conceptions de personnages de Tetsuya Nomura, comme inspiration pour l'apparence du protagoniste.
