Sony startet steuert Starship Troopers nach Helldivers Movie Ankündigung

Sony entwickelt Berichten zufolge einen neuen Neustart des Starship Troopers -Franchise -Franchise -Unternehmens mit dem gefeierten Regisseur Neill Blomkamp, ​​der für Filme wie District 9, Elysium und Chappie bekannt ist, und direkt zu schreiben. Dieses neue Projekt, das vom Hollywood Reporter angekündigt und durch Deadline and Variety bestätigt wurde, ist eine neue Adaption von Robert A. Interessanterweise erfolgt die Entscheidung von Sony, diesen neuen Starship Troopers-Film zu grünlich zu sein, zu einer Zeit, in der das Studio auch eine Live-Action-Adaption des beliebten PlayStation Game Helldivers angekündigt hat. Helldivers, entwickelt von Arrowhead, lässt sich erhebliche Inspiration von Verhoevens Starship Troopers inspirieren und Soldaten, die gegen außerirdische Bugs in einem satirischen faschistischen Regime kämpfen, das "Freiheit und Management Demokratie" fördert.

Die gleichzeitige Entwicklung dieser beiden Projekte wirft Fragen zum potenziellen Wettbewerb innerhalb des eigenen Portfolios von Sony auf. Der Hollywood -Reporter stellt jedoch klar, dass Blomkamps Starship -Soldaten kein Remake von Verhoevens Film sein werden, sondern eine direkte Adaption von Heinleins Roman, die sich in Ton und Nachricht aus dem Film von 1997 erheblich unterscheidet.
