Sonic Galactic, eine von Fans erstellte Hommage an den Geist von Sonic Mania, bietet klassisches Sonic-Gameplay mit einer frischen Pixel-Art-Ästhetik. Dieses Spiel richtet sich perfekt an Fans, die sich nach dem Gefühl klassischer Sonic-Titel sehnen.

In Anlehnung an das Design von Sonic Mania verfügt jeder Charakter über einzigartige Routen durch die Level. Die Sonderprüfungen behalten das Mania-Feeling bei und fordern die Spieler heraus, innerhalb eines Zeitlimits in einer 3D-Umgebung Ringe zu sammeln. Während ein Durchspielen, das sich ausschließlich auf Sonics Levels konzentriert, etwa eine Stunde dauert, verlängert sich die Spielzeit durch die Einbeziehung der anderen Charaktere deutlich auf ein paar Stunden.
