Niantic empfiehlt den betroffenen Spielern, ihre Anmeldeinformationen sicher zu speichern. Während sie nach dem Upgrade ihrer Telefone auf ihre Konten zugreifen können, können sie erst dann spielen, wenn sie über ein kompatibles Gerät verfügen. Dies schließt alle gekauften Pokecoins ein.
