Max hat einen aufregenden neuen Trailer für Peacemaker Staffel 2 vorgestellt, der seine Verbindungen zum Superman -Universum erheblich verbessert. Der Trailer beginnt mit einer überzeugenden Szene mit Sean Gunn als Maxwell Lord, Nathan Fillion als Guy Gardner / Green Lantern und Isabela Merced als Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl. In diesen Charakteren wird gezeigt, wie er John Cenas Friedensstifter für ein potenzielles Superhelden -Team interviewt. Das Interview nimmt eine saure Wendung und lässt den Friedensstifter sichtbar niedergeschlagen, während er ausstürmt.

Nach der Veröffentlichung von Superman am 11. Juli 2025 wird Peacemaker Staffel 2 der dritte Eintrag in der neu gegründeten DCU sein, die Ende letzten Jahres mit der Creature Commandos TV -Serie begann. Dieses neue filmische Universum, das von James Gunn und Co-CEO Peter Safran geführt wird, distanziert sich von dem kritisierten DC Extended Universe (DCEU), zu dem Filme wie Justice League , Batman gegen Superman: Dawn of Justice und Man of Steel gehörten. Bestimmte Elemente der DCEU werden jedoch in die neue DCU übertragen, wobei Friedensstifter als Beispiel für das Hauptbild dient. Während Staffel 1 Teil der DCEU war, wird Staffel 2 offiziell Teil der DCU sein.

James Gunn hat angekündigt, dass "viele Stränge in Bezug auf die Geschichte des Friedensstifters konsequent bleiben werden", obwohl nicht ganz klar ist, was vom alten Universum zum neuen übergehen wird. Er hat bestätigt, dass der gesamte Team Peacemaker mit denselben Schauspielern zurückkehren wird, darunter John Cena, der seine Hauptrolle wiederholt, und sich von Frank Grillo wie Rick Flag Sr., Freddie Stroma als Adrian Chase und Danielle Brooks als LEOTA ADEBAYO angeschlossen.

Darüber hinaus hat Gunn erklärt, dass die zweite Staffel von Friedensstiftern nach den Ereignissen von Creature Commandos und Superman stattfinden wird, wobei die Ereignisse des letzteren direkt den Friedensstifter beeinflussen.
