Separat kündigte Nintendo einen Switch Online -Spieltest an und akzeptierte Bewerbungen vom 10. Oktober, 8:00 Uhr PT / 11:00 Uhr ET, bis 15. Oktober, 7:59 Uhr PT / 10:59 Uhr ET. Bis zu 10.000 Teilnehmer werden ausgewählt; Diejenigen außerhalb von Japan werden auf der Basis erstmals zuerst ausgewählt. Der Spieltest selbst läuft vom 23. Oktober bis zum 5. November.

Zu den Zulassungsanforderungen gehören:

    Eine aktive Nintendo Switch Online -Erweiterungspaket -Mitgliedschaft bis zum 9. Oktober, 15:00 Uhr PDT.
