Im Jahr 2023 machte die CW Schlagzeilen, als sie seine ehrgeizige Live-Action-Serie mit den erwachsenen Powerpuff-Mädchen nach zahlreichen Herausforderungen stellte. Vor kurzem gab es ein Teaser -Video, das einen Einblick in die Online -Show gab, und die Aufmerksamkeit von Fans und Kritikern gleichermaßen auf sich zog.

Heute Morgen hat der YouTube-Kanal "Lost Media Busters" den dreieinhalb-minütigen Trailer hochgeladen, der aufgrund eines Urheberrechts von Warner Bros. Entertainment schnell entfernt wurde. Der Trailer führt eine dunklere, reifere Version der geliebten Charaktere vor: Blossom, gespielt von Chloe Bennet, wird als gestresst und ausgebrannt dargestellt. Blasen, die von Dove Cameron dargestellt werden, wandelt sich dem Trinken zu; Und Butterblume, gespielt von Yana Perrault, wird rebellisch und fordert Geschlechtsnormen heraus.

Der Trailer entfaltet sich mit dem Trio, der versehentlich den Tod eines Menschen namens Mojo verursacht und sie dazu veranlasst, Townsville zu fliehen. Jahre später kehren sie zurück, um ihren Vater Professor Utonium zu besuchen, gespielt von Donald Faison, nur um festzustellen, dass Mojos Sohn Jojo als Bürgermeister übernommen wurde und die Bürger der Stadt einer Gehirnwäsche unterzogen hat, um sich gegen sie zu rächen. Der Trailer injiziert "nervöser" Humor, wobei Blasen auf Jugalos und Buttercup einen mutigen Kommentar zu Jojos Vendetta gegen Blossom machen.

Der CW hat der Vielfalt bestätigt, dass das Filmmaterial zwar authentisch ist, es jedoch nicht für die öffentliche Besichtigung gedacht war. Das Live-Action-Powerpuff-Mädchenprojekt wurde zunächst im Jahr 2020 angekündigt, wurde jedoch nach verschiedenen Rückschlägen, darunter ein erfolgloser Piloten und den Ausgang von Chloe Bennet aus der Besetzung, im Jahr 2023 angekündigt.
