Nach einem actiongeladenen Finale wurden die Champions des Esports World Cup: Free Fire-Turniers gekrönt. Das aus Thailand stammende Team Falcon nahm sowohl den Meisterpokal als auch einen ziemlich beeindruckenden Geldpreis von 300.000 US-Dollar für seine Bemühungen mit nach Hause.

Auf Team Falcon folgten EVOS Esports aus Indonesien und Netshoes Miners aus Brasilien, die sich den zweiten bzw. dritten Platz sicherten. Der Sieg sichert Team Falcon auch den ersten bestätigten Platz bei den FFWS Global Finals 2024, die dieses Jahr in Brasilien stattfinden.

Und nicht nur das Preisgeld ist eine große Neuigkeit. Der Auftritt von Free Fire beim Esports World Cup wurde von auf diesem Thema spezialisierten Medien als das meistgesehene Ereignis in der Geschichte des Spiels bezeichnet.
