Wenn es einen Mount Rushmore von Comic -Künstlern gäbe, wäre der späte, große Will Eisner zweifellos eine prominente Figur. Seine bahnbrechenden Arbeiten werden nun mit einer Ausstellung in der New Yorker Philippe Labaune Gallery geehrt, die Originalkunstwerke aus seinen ikonischen Werken wie *The Spirit *und *einen Vertrag mit Gott *zeigt.

Die Will -Eisner -Ausstellung der Philippe Labaune -Galerie umfasst Kunstwerke aus der gesamten illustren Karriere von Eisners, die von 1941 bis 2002 erstreckt. Das Display enthält zahlreiche Seiten aus Comic -Streifen wie *The Spirit *und *New York: The Big City *, sowie eine fast vollständige, sequentielle Präsentation von Eisners bookreakener Grafik.

"Will Eisners *The Spirit *, der 1940 erstmals veröffentlicht wurde, revolutionierte das Comic -Medium mit seinen innovativen stilistischen Durchbrüchen, die das Geschichtenerzählen in Comics veränderten", teilte Philippe Labaune mit IGN mit. "Eine seiner bemerkenswertesten Errungenschaften war seine meisterhafte Verwendung von filmischen Techniken, wie z. B. dynamische Panel -Layouts, unterschiedliche Perspektiven und clevere Übergänge, die den Fluss des Films nachahmten. Starren Gitterstrukturen, die durch diese stilistischen Fortschritte ein immersives Leseerlebnis schaffen, legte Eisner nicht nur neue Standards für Comic-Kunst, sondern zeigte auch das Potenzial des Mediums, anspruchsvolle und ansprechende genrebasierte Erzählungen zu liefern. "

Die Will Eisner -Ausstellung eröffnet am Donnerstag, den 13. Februar, mit einem Eröffnungsempfang von 18 bis 21 Uhr ET. Die Ausstellung findet bis Samstag, den 8. März statt. Die Philippe Labaune Gallery befindet sich in der 534 West 24th Street in New York und ist von 10 bis 18 Uhr ET von Donnerstag bis Samstag geöffnet.
