Laut Schauspielerin Lizzy Caplan wurde Channing Tatums lang erwarteter Gambit-Film, der letztendlich abgesagt wurde, ein einzigartiger Wendung in das Superhelden-Genre mit einer romantischen Comedy-Stimmung mit 30 Jahren bringen. In einem Interview mit Business Insider hob Caplan, der neben Tatum zu spielen war, den innovativen Ansatz hervor, den der Film verfolgen sollte, und bezeichnete ihn als "eine wirklich coole Idee".

Tatums Reise, um den geliebten X-Men-Charakter Gambit mit zahlreichen Hürden auszusetzen, wobei er nach dem Disney-Fox-Fusion von 2019 in der Absage seines Solofilms gipfelte. Der Schauspieler hat offen über den emotionalen Tribut gesprochen, den der Tod des Projekts zu ihm eroberte, und drückte die Befürchtungen aus, dass er niemals die charismatische, kartenwirkende Mutante spielen könnte. Die Fans waren jedoch begeistert, Tatum als Gambit im MCU -Blockbuster "Deadpool & Wolverine" zu sehen.

Caplan, der seit seiner Zeit 2017 die weibliche Führung im Gambit -Film spielen musste, bestätigte im Geschäftsinsider -Interview, für das sie unterschrieben hatte, und hatte sogar Treffen mit Tatum abgehalten. "Wir gingen die Straße runter, wir wollten es schießen", sagte Caplan. "Ich denke, es gab einen Startdatum."

Im Jahr 2018 sagte Simon Kinberg, der Produzent des Gambit -Films, IGN, dass der Film aufgrund der Charaktereigenschaften von Gambit eine "romantische oder Sex -Comedy -Vibe" annehmen würde. "Wenn du Gambit ansiehst", erklärte Kinberg, "er ist ein Hustler und ein Frauenheld und wir hatten einfach das Gefühl, dass es eine Haltung gibt, eine Prahlerei zu ihm, die sich der romantischen Komödie verlieh."

Sieben Jahre später bestätigte Caplan diese Vision und fügte hinzu: "Sie wollten wie eine Art von Screwball -Comedy -Comedy -Comedy -Set in dieser Welt, was wirklich Spaß gemacht hätte."

Was die Zukunft für Tatum und Gambit angeht, hat Marvel Studios noch keine Ankündigungen vorgenommen, obwohl sie die eventuelle Integration der X-Men in die MCU bestätigt haben. Im vergangenen August löste Ryan Reynolds, der Deadpool spielt, unter Gambit-Fans auf Aufregung aus, indem er eine hochwertige Version einer Szene aus "Deadpool & Wolverine" twitterte, die in den Kinos schwer zu sehen war, und die Spekulationen über zukünftige Auftritte anfing.
