Breakout, der Arcade Classic von 1976, wird fast 50 Jahre später eine moderne Überarbeitung erhält. Breakout Beyond, entwickelt von Provisions (Macher der Bit.Trip-Serie), sorgt für die legendäre Ziegelbreaker-Formel. Das Spiel beibehält die vertraute Paddel-und-Ball-Mechanik und führt zu einem einzigartigen Side-Wever-Fortschritt und bewegt die Spieler von links nach rechts über den Bildschirm.

Das Kernziel bleibt das gleiche: Ziegel brechen! Während die Spieler Combos bauen, verschärft sich das visuelle Spektakel mit lebendigen Lichtern und schillernden Effekten. Spezielle Ziegel lockern aufregende Power-ups, von explosiven Explosionen bis zu einer leistungsstarken Laserkanone. Breakout Beyond bietet 72 Levels sowie einen unlockbaren endlosen Modus mit einer globalen Online -Rangliste für das Wettbewerbsspiel. Für diejenigen, die eine kollaborative Erfahrung bevorzugen, ist auch die lokale Zwei-Spieler-Koop-Koop enthalten.

Spielen Breakout Beyonds Entwicklung wurde zunächst als Intellivision amico exklusiv und wurde nach dem Erwerb der Rechte von Atari übernommen.

Breakout Beyond startet später in diesem Jahr auf PC, PlayStation 4 und 5, Xbox Series X und S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch und Atari VCS.
